Fritz Kalkbrenner Finds Ways Over Water Tomorrow, March 21st

An acclaimed singer, songwriter, producer and sometimes TV personality, Berlin’s Fritz Kalkbrenner is a certified renaissance man. Music is in his blood; he is the younger brother of Paul Fritzbrenner (aka Paul dB+ of “Guten Tag” fame), who ventured into techno independently, and made his frist true foray onto wax as a vocalist on a Sascha Funke track in 2002. In 2008 he and his brother put together the unforgettable “Sky and Sand”, before putting out a regular flow of commercially successful albums beginning in 2010, the most recent of which is last year’s Ways Over Water.  In January he put out the single “Void”, which sports his penchant for sweet pop hooks, soulful vocal delivery, harmonious synths that nod to deep house, and thick disco beats.

We’re very pleased to be hosting a very intimate session with Kalkbrenner on Saturday, March 21st.  He will be joined by the Brooklyn dark techno prodigy Cranks whose addictive new EP Steel City dropped last month. Let’s ring in the Spring by getting lost in sound, shall we?
