Air Zaïre Brings Sun-Soaked Vibes To Cielo Thursday, April 23

Before relocating to New York, Adam Santucci was one-half of Life Of Seals, a driving synthpop outfit out of Cooper City, Florida. Three years later, Santucci emerged as the solo act Air Zaïre, whose modus operandi is mixing underappreciated R&B jams with tropical disco rhythms. Now based in Brooklyn, he’s brought his South Floridian flavor with him, pumping out slick originals like the addictive “Sanibel” (featuring Patrick Baker), as well as his sunny, highly-regarded mixtape series Modern Love.

This Thursday, local party-starting crews The Fam and UNCODE are summoning Air Zaïre to rock Manhattan’s best sound system along with kindred spirits Muffs, Diver and Moonchild. Vodka is on the house for the first hour. Dare we say, this is the perfect way to soak in the sonic rays…
