Winner of “Best Party” in 2008 & 2009 by Clubworld, Dance.Here.Now is the product of New York City super club promoters Rob Fernandez and Benny Soto. Both have played integral roles in the underground dance music scene here for years are are legendary in house music circles. The secret to the night’s success is “big name DJs in the confines of Cielo’s intimate setting make for some of the best sets of the year” reveals Soto. Ex-assistant to iconic New York pop culture artist Keith Haring, Benny has seen it all. From the days of the Paradise Garage to Vinyl with Danny Tenaglia and now Cielo, he is a wealth of knowledge and dedicates himself to what he loves, the music. In addition to his nights at Cielo he hosts a monthly party with partner and good friend Danny Krivit called 718 Sessions, with a cult following devoted to the classic house music sound. Similarly, Fernandez has been around the block a few times himself. With close ties to DJs such as Eric Morillo, he also was played a big role in the growth and popularity of club Vinyl. Currently he holds the title of music programmer for Pacha NYC and is responsible for some of the most high profile electronic music events taking place in New York.
