Cafe Con Leche Party Celebrates 21 Years February 15

A club night needs no justification, but there’s something righteous about a party that makes a statement, that fearlessly embodies freedom in its purest form. No less than 21 years ago, Joseph Scot Sheridan and Naudio Feliz started Cafe Con Leche, a party that embraces all types while celebrating Latino culture with a decidedly queer bent. In 2015, the party’s mission is just as important as it was back then, and its legend is heralded by scholars, freedom fighters and party people the world over. A bevvy of dedicated collaborators have included visual artists (Alvaro, Urban Works), hosts, musical and drag performers, and of course DJs, most of whom have remained heavily involved in the party, which has supported numerous causes including the AIDS Walk. Music remains a key focus of Cafe Con Leche, with the best in tribal and Latin house making up the bulk of the night.

On Sunday, Cafe Con Leche celebrates its beautiful legacy with a huge Anniversary Party featuring cuts  by Cleveland, Houdini, Spin and more plus guests like Atom, Leslie Donado and Steve Vega. The is a must for those serious about house music, club culture, and liberation.
