The effusive producer Boris Inzhin is now based in NYC, but that’s not keeping him from holding down a residency down in Miami at Space, or regularly taking the mix at Mexico BPM festival. The Russian-born producer/DJ has a flare for breakdowns, build-ups, and arrangements, which have propelled a successful repertoire that spans everything from tribal house to deep techno. In 2013 he set up the Transmit Records label that has been steadily pumping out releases by the likes of Oscar L, Paride Saraceni and Eric Sneo, along with the Transmissions podcast curated by Boris. His latest solo release is the deftly assembled cut “The Master” b/w “Like Water” which we keep on steady rotation.
Boris will be headlining a raucous celebration of beats at Cielo Friday, February 27. “Always look forward to playing at one of the best and longest running underground rooms in NY, Cielo,” says the the seasoned mix-master who’s been in NYC’s club scene since he was 15. Likewise, sir! Alongside him will be Transmit Records signees Christian Smith and Ed Pulido. It’s gonna go OFF!
